2023 - Alpha One’s Year in Review
What a year 2023 has been for Alpha One and our community of students, parents and staff! Let’s take a look at everything that happened throughout this significant year.
Student Achievements
2023 was another year of amazing results from our students, with over 83.8% of all students who took the Selective Test receiving an offer or were placed on the reserve list. We also had over six hundred subjects in the top 10% - these are numbers that we are extremely proud of, especially considering that this has been a two hundred number increase since last year.
Our OC cohort in 2023 also did extremely well, with over 90 offers and reserves. We also had 198 students with subjects in the top 10% which is an amazing achievement.
Involvement in Festivals
Alpha One has embarked on many side projects this year with the biggest being the Diwali Festival! Our team worked hard to plan and organise a fun day with plenty of merchandise including textbooks, free classes and assorted stationery.
Alpha One was also involved in Sydney Community Group’s Mateship Fair. This was a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the local community. Our team got to meet so many wonderful local parents and students.
Changes in Selective Exam
The Selective Exam was moved to May this year which meant that students' parents had to adapt to new timing changes. As a result, students and parents had more time to adequately prepare for the exam and ensure they were confident in their test abilities.
Growth
2023 was a great year of growth at Alpha One. We grew our community to over 5000 individual students attending our four branches throughout the course of the year. Additionally, we have expanded our staff team with many new dedicated tutors, administration staff and other support staff to help Alpha One provide students with the best service possible.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the parents and students who have shown their support on our journey so far. Your recommendations to family and friends have helped us immensely and we could not have achieved this success without all of you.
