A Year of Hard Work, Now Worth Celebrating
Congratulations to all of our 2026 Selective Test students!
This year, 360+ Alpha One students received offers or reserve places at NSW Selective Schools, with 80.7% of students receiving an offer or reserve place and 1,083 subjects ranking in the top 10% or 15%.
These results reflect months of preparation, practice and persistence. We’re incredibly proud of every student who took on the challenge of the NSW Selective School Test and continued working towards their goals throughout the year.
Behind every result is a student who kept learning, kept improving and stayed committed to their Selective journey — supported by their families and teachers along the way.

What supports our students along the way
Every student’s Selective journey looks a little different. Our role is to make sure they have the right support at every stage.
Small Classes: With a maximum of 8 students per class, students receive more individualised instruction, more opportunities to ask questions and targeted support on the areas they need to improve.
Experienced Tutors: Our tutors come from strong academic backgrounds, including graduates of some of NSW’s top Selective Schools. They bring their own experience and knowledge to help students develop the skills needed for the Selective Test.
One-On-One Feedback: Tutors remain available for up to 20 minutes after each class to answer questions and provide feedback. Parents can speak directly with their child’s tutor about what they’ve learned, how they’re progressing and what they need to work on next, helping families better understand and support their child’s learning between classes.
Extra Support Beyond the Classroom: From academic consultations and guidance to homework help, personalised writing feedback, worked solutions and additional practice materials, students have access to a range of resources to support their learning beyond the weekly lesson.
At Alpha One, we believe preparing for the Selective Test is about more than simply completing practice papers. It’s about understanding each student, identifying what they need to work on and supporting them throughout the journey.
